Thomasville, world famous for their funiture making! Also well know for Railfanning!
Located in the center of North Carolina, between Charlotte and Raleigh lies Thomasville. A mecca for train watching on Norfolk Southern. We captured NS along with North Carolina D.O.T. Commuter Rail and Amtrak in this Classic Southern Downtown area! We found Thomasville to be a great spot to watch freight cars! There is an eclectic array of freight cars that pound the rails here, both old classic cars along with new modern cars! Locomotives also share the limelight here from classic to modern!
Also as an added bonus we have added in footage from Norfolk & Western Steam locomotive #611 at Spencer Shops complex, part of the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer North Carolina. This not the usual high speed performance from the #611, but a slow paced and up close action around the grounds as it pulls a N&W caboose!
